November 25, 2024 OLYMP Is and Remains the Clear No. 1 in the Shirt Market
The Trade Magazine TextilWirtschaft Has Once Again Named OLYMP the “Top Brand for Shirts in 2024”
OLYMP Bezner KG based in Bietigheim-Bissingen (in the district of Ludwigsburg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany) has again secured the top ranking in an image analysis of the shirts sector carried out by trade magazine TextilWirtschaft. In terms of its competitor brands, OLYMP has been confirmed by retail purchasing managers as the “leading shirt brand in Germany” for 2024 in the survey. For decades now, this study has been a key indicator of the relevance of fashion brands in the clothing industry.
In the latest “SHIRTS 2024” image analysis undertaken by the renowned business and fashion magazine TextilWirtschaft, published by Deutscher Fachverlag in Frankfurt am Main, OLYMP has once again come out on top as the leading shirt brand amongst the 34 most important suppliers in the German market. OLYMP was awarded first place in 13 out of a total of 25 categories. This means that purchasing managers in specialist menswear stores and large-scale retailers have once again named the OLYMP brand the overall winner for high-quality men’s shirts.
TextilWirtschaft Marketing Research carried out the field work and analysis and determined the results using a personalised online survey during the survey period of July and August 2024. According to the domestic retail trade’s assessment, OLYMP was awarded top marks in the categories ‘Overall Image’, ‘Brand Attractiveness’, ‘Sustainability’, ‘Business Shirts’, ‘Fit’, ‘Delivery Performance’, ‘Stocked Suppliers’, ‘Regular Supplier’, ‘NOS’, ‘Collection Awareness’, ‘Exploitation of Potential I’, ‘Range Establishment I’ and ‘Range Establishment II’.
Mark Bezner, owner and CEO of OLYMP Bezner KG, is delighted that the specialist retail trade has once again confirmed OLYMP as a leading shirt brand: “With a 17 per cent share, shirts continue to be an extremely significant source of revenue in men’s fashion. Even recent changes in wearing habits as a result of new forms of work and dress codes haven’t diminished shirts’ importance. Nevertheless, we are consistently developing from a product specialist into a lifestyle brand.”
OLYMP Bezner KG, based in Bietigheim-Bissingen near Stuttgart, is the market leader for shirts in Germany. In addition, its high-quality clothing range, which, in addition to shirts in all imaginable designs for business, leisure and special occasions, also includes an increasing number of knitwear and sweatwear items as well as accessories, is sold in over 40 countries worldwide. In the past financial year, OLYMP was able to increase its sales slightly compared to the previous year, despite the persistently difficult business environment. In 2023, it generated revenues of 229 million euros.
